A major metal meltdown is set to take place at Kolkata and Kharagpur on the 22nd and 24th of January, as Kryptos will be performing for the very first time in West Bengal. On January 22nd we play at The Big Ben, Hotel New Kenilworth, Kolkata. We will be supported by Moshpit and Chronic Xorn. On January 24th we headline Armageddon at IIT Kharagpur.

Long overdue, but Kryptos is finally playing in Mumbai! Powerchords 2009 is the name of the festival, taking place on December 23rd at the S.I.E.S College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Sion (West). Gates open at 3:30pm.

Kryptos will be supporting Amon Amarth and Textures at the plateau-shaking Deccan Rock 2009 on December 5th! All headbangers attending are advised to bring a neck brace, and those with loose wigs should apply generous amounts of superglue. Also on the bill: Demonic Resurrection, Bhayanak Maut, Undying Inc, and Inner Sanctum.

Time to dust off the denim, whip out the leather and throw those horns in the air once again. We are all set to bang heads and snap necks at the Kyra Theatre on August 10th. The show will see us play our critically acclaimed albums Spiral Ascent and The Ark of Gemini back to back in their entirety, and will be professionally filmed for a DVD release worldwide.
The DVD titled ALIVE IN THE KRYPT will also include interviews with fans and crew members, behind the scenes insanity, and a full length documentary on Kryptos featuring revealing insights on the last 10 years of our legacy. With state of the art sound, lights and visuals this gig promises to go down as a milestone event in the annals of Indian metal.
The show starts at 9 p.m sharp with tickets at just Rs 99/- and will take place at the fantastic Kyra Theatre on 100ft Road, Indiranagar. The doors close at 9 p.m after which entry will be restricted. So to ensure that you aren’t left out of this epic concert, get yourselves inside with time to spare. Our very first gig at Kyra Theatre on 10th August will also be the first time we'll be playing a massive set comprising every single track from both Spiral Ascent and The Ark of Gemini. We are going to be filming the gig for a DVD that we plan to launch later this year. We're sure all you headbangers will make your presence felt \m/.

Planet M (Brigade Road, Bangalore) witnessed much moshing amidst stands and displays yesterday, as we belted out a set of Iron Maiden covers in tribute to the epic Flight 666 film which will be launched in India on the 9th of May. The set included our own renditions of 'The Ides of March', 'Wrathchild', 'The Clairvoyant', and 'Running Free', and finally, just when it was going to be an all-cover evening, we were forced to play 'Descension' for an encore.

All of us have been die-hard Maiden fans since we were kids so this is one gig we're going to remember for the rest of our lives.
